In the Wye Valley Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty and in the Royal Forest of Dean, Steep Meadow House provides first class comfort and food in a friendly, quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Our delicious Aga cooked breakfasts with Steep Meadow produced eggs, bacon and sausages will set you up for the day.

It is an excellent base for exploring both the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean - bird watching, visiting historic buildings, walking, cycling or just enjoying the peace and quiet.
Join us for a weekend or come for a week: you will be made very welcome. On arrival guests are offered complimentary tea/coffee/cold drinks with homebaked cakes or biscuits.
We are close to the Welsh border high above the Wye Valley and on the edge of the Forest of Dean.
The house is eco-friendly and built into the hillside. It has large windows facing East and South to maximise the sun's heat and make the most of the stunning views. The sitting room is an ideal place to relax and take in the views and/or snuggle up in front of the log burner.

From the lane Steep Meadow looks like a small cottage...but come and see for yourself.
It is set in its own three acres where roam goats, pigs and chickens and is next to farmland and the ancient Meend, just a short walk from The Buckstone and forests.
