Dogs - Please be aware that we we have Jessie and Jake who are two rescue dogs. We welcome well behaved dogs and because of the animals at Steep Meadow we ask that your dog be kept on a lead at all times and never be left unattended.
Beech Garden Room is an ideal place to stay with your dog. It has a dog lobby where your dog can sleep if you prefer not to have it in your bedroom and a little garden where you can all sit out and enjoy the sunshine and views.
We ask that you do not allow your dog on the bed or other furniture and provide its own bed for it to sleep in.
We charge £5.00 per visit for a dog to cover the extra cleaning involved.
If your dog does not come into the house/bedroom and sleeps in your car of course there is no charge.
Dog Walks There are many walks straight from our door that dogs will enjoy - around the Common and into the woods.
The lane outside our house is tarmac and has very little traffic on it and leads to the top of the Meend where there is a good view for you and plenty of grassy space for your dog to run about.
If you would like to give your dog an off the lead run then it is best to head into the woods on the forest tracks where your dog can enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the countryside.
