Aga cooked breakfasts are sourced from local suppliers in the Wye Valley or the Forest of Dean and are organic and Fair trade whenever possible.

Our fresh eggs come from our own Maran and Croad Langshan hens.                                               

The bacon, sausages and ham are from our own Oxford,Sandy and Blacks or Tamworth pigs

You can choose from a full Steep Meadow cooked breakfast or continental breakfast with fresh homebaked bread and local fruits in season.

Breakfast is served at a time that suits you up to 9am - it can be later if we have no rooms to prepare.

Evening meals - hearty country meals - using local produce whenever possible can be provided if booked in advance .

For meat eaters - try our own delicious well flavoured pork joints.

A three course meal with tea or coffee costs £15.00 and if the weather allows can be served outside.

Starter

Vine Tomatoes stuffed with herbs, breadcrumbs and cheese.

Homemade Soup with chunks of homemade bread

Homemade pork pate served with thin slices of homemade wholemeal bread

Main

Chicken in a Parcel - slices of chicken breast, local mushrooms, our own bacon, locally produced wine and a handful of thyme from our garden all cooked in a foil parcel for you to open at the table.

Roast Pork and a selection of seasonal vegetables - locally sourced and the pork is our own home reared. Crackling served on the side!

Two types of pasta  - one served with a rich tomato sauce, the other with a tangy lemon sauce.

Mixed salad - served with slices of our own Steep Meadow ham and/or Steep Meadow eggs or local Double Gloucestershire cheese.

Puddings

Pancakes stuffed with banana, banana sauce and homemade banana ice cream.  Only for those who love bananas!

Fruit crumble with custard/cream/mascarpone.

A selection of homemade ice creams and water ices.

Local cheeses and biscuits and fresh fruit.

Packed lunches are also available if booked the previous night.

Special diets can be catered for if notified when booking.
