Award Winning Breakfast — 2009
Breakfast is something to really look forward to at Steep Meadow according to our Visit England Inspectors and our guests.

The Visit England Breakfast Award is only given to exceptional establishments where the breakfast provided is over and above the expectation at the four star grading. We are very proud of our breakfasts and the award we gained for them.
We use our own free range eggs and bacon and sausages from our own pigs.
" Everything is cooked to order and is simply the best for taste and quality. All other products like honey, marmalade, jams etc are also made by Helen/John or locally sourced such as the organic butter "

The bacon, sausages, pork joints and ham are from our Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers in the Wye Valley or the Forest of Dean and are organic and Fair Trade whenever possible.
"The food is absolutely fantastic... fresh, home-made/home-grown/home-produced... Including free-range eggs, home-made marmalade, bacon and sausages from their own pigs... superb! And more than enough to fuel us until tea-time! "
Vegetarians are well catered for too.
Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 9.30am - you can choose when to eat.
"Delicious breakfast followed by unrivalled access to walks and tracks in the forest of Dean. "
Evening meals - if you would like to eat in (and bring your own wine!) then we can provide a three course meal, a cold platter or just a snack.
We use local produce whenever possible. If the weather is suitable you can dine outside as the view is just lovely in the evening sunlight.
